At The Sutherland, we absolutely love it when our clients choose to support local North Carolina artists to commission artwork as a keepsake from their wedding day. We have had clients who want to feature The Sutherland to show their guests where they will be getting married through their wedding stationary. We have had clients whose family members want to surprise them with a unique sentimental gift from their wedding day. We have also had clients who want to give their guests a takeaway of something near and dear to their hearts to personalize their wedding. Whatever the reasoning behind creating such memorabilia to cherish and remember forever, we are so grateful The Sutherland clients place such value in the remembering the special place where they got married. We would love to show you how The Sutherland couples have chosen to commemorate their special day over the past few years.
Anna Laura and Scott partnered with Alison of One + Only Paper to create foil-pressed stationery featuring a botanical envelope liner for their wedding. They chose a watercolor of The Sutherland Estate for the front of their invitations. Their suite was tied together with a velvet ribbon and a wax seal of their husky dog.

Brooke Odom-Hirsch is a watercolor artist herself! She attended art school and majored in graphic design. She has her own Etsy shop - Brooke Odom Design Co. Brooke painted a water color of she and her now-husband Eric in front of The Sutherland Estate for their wedding Save the Dates. Brooke also created designs for many pieces of stationery for their wedding including the invitations, ceremony programs, signature cocktail signs, and place setting cards. They partnered with Reaves Engraving to print the stationery for their wedding. For her wedding gift, Eric had Brooke’s illustration of them in front of The Sutherland Estate matted and framed as a sentimental memento for them to keep in their home.
