Going Green
In addition to respecting the past's culture and style, a goal The Sutherland deemed imperative was to preserve our land, water resources, and the rich foliage that has encased the property for hundreds of years. Many trees and bushes were saved during the parking and driveway construction while clearing a route for both. Partnering with Millridge Landscape Service, Inc. and Haden Stanziale, The Sutherland was able to relocate many of the existing hollies, magnolias and boxwoods found on the property. By conserving these trees, they continue to serve as a natural buffer on the property.
